what's in your conditioner?
in a usual conditioner, you'll find
fatty alcohols ( cetearyl and cetyl) as emulsion stabilizer and thickener and glycol distearate for thickening and made a gel
a tensive as a glue betweeen water and grease; they often use a quaternary tensive ( quat) for it makes a complex with the hair's keratine ad suppress the static electricity; that effect makes it hair detangler
then what i'nt accept: silicones: amodimethicone covers as a glue the keratine, dimethicones who cover and add shine to the hair, siloxanes which are solvents and evaporates
then a great list of compounds supposed add effect: ceramides, hydrolyzed proteins, oils and vegetable butters, colouring agents, fragance etc...
Mr Zaidan shows us how to make a good conditioner: water, lecithin and oil added of fatty alcools; it is possible to make the show with egg yolk in cold water, but you must first cool the oil-fatty alcohols mix to 30°c ( 86°f)
if you add a little acid compound ( vinager) in the water, that mixture becomes a detangler conditioner for lecithin or egg yolk are amphoteric tensives
for making homemade conditioners, we can buy premixed fatty alcohols-quaternary tensive as BTMS ( behentrimonium methosulfate and cetearyl alcohol) or conditioner emulsifier in an acid solution ( stearamidopropyl dimethylamine)
but is it convenient using so much grasy products on the hair? moisture is provided by water, not by oils !!!
